Code Pink

I had my very first Code Pink (well, any code to be honest).  And to top it off yesterday we had 1 Code Pink...about an 1.5-2 hours later a Code Blue to a mommy with twins so it was a code blue and code pink together.

Scary and VERY OVERWHELMING!

At the end of the day everyone is well and happy!  I will always remember yesterday and the little babies we saved.

Also, we had to sign our papers for the house in the middle of all the chaos at work.  The title company guy and Brady came up to our break room so we could sign it as fast as we could.

{Code Pink: cardiac arrest on baby.  Code Blue: cardiac arrest on adult.}

Another house update!

The house is done!!!  It's actually been done now for a week in a half.  We did a walk through and requested a few things be done/fixed and will verify it's been done when we move in.  I'm not worried...it was only a few things that were not major whatsoever.  The house is BEAUTIFUL!!  I LOVE LOVE LOVE the kitchen and can't stop thinking about where I want to put things.

We have had a rough patch trying to close on the house.  We were originally supposed to close on the house on the same day as our walk through but stupid things came up:

- We needed the 2nd part of the appraisal to be done and the appraiser was out on vacation.  No one could get a hold of his replacement so we had to wait for that to be figured out.  Then when it was figured out apparently they have to send everything to the government to approve or say fix things and he had to fix a few things and send it back for another review.  FINALLY it's been approved.

- Our back yard is up against a road that leads out of the neighborhood.  Apparently, the city is requiring a fence be up against that road.  Without a fence we could only get a "temporary" occupancy permit.  The lenders would not approve a temporary permit.  After MUCH discussion we were able to schedule for a fence to be put in this month and the city was okay with that so they gave us an "official" occupancy permit.  So now we have the back side of the fence going up at the end of this month (about 2,000 dollars to have done).

In addition to all of the above we were notified (the next day) that our fridge would not be delivered on time and it would be on July 21st.  Boy that was a shocker!!! After an hour or so at Sears trying to figure something out we were able to take home their floor model and they will switch it out with our brand new one on the 21st - which is unfortunate because it's Crew's birthday party day but oh well.

Over all it's been a WONDERFUL experience...until trying to close.  But we made it through and we are anxious to move in hopefully tomorrow!

Things to Remember

- Cooper had a stinky diaper.  I said "Cooper, can we change your diaper?"  He replied, "No thank you, Ma."

- He was jumping off the couch.  Then he'd run around saying "Super Cooper!"

- No matter how many times we call me mom, mommy, or mama I am still officially "ma" and I LOVE it!

- Crew likes to crawl everywhere, especially to places that are dangerous...such as doorways to the outside! Today he was crawling towards the garage door when I hear "Chew, STOP!" I look and see Cooper standing in front of him with his hands straight out. As Crew ignored him and proceeded to try and crawl out the door Cooper stands there yelling "uh oh Ma!" haha made me giggle because any other time Cooper would've tried to pick him up or push him away but instead he just let him go.

Independence Day 2012

This years 4th of July was a little boring. haha  I worked July 3rd, 4th, and 5th so I didn't plan anything fun.  While I was at work Brady took the boys outside and played for a long while and they sure had fun!

That night after I got home we grabbed a pizza and went to grab a seat to watch the fireworks.  Brady's work is near the college (where they light them off) and it's nice to just sit in the grass there away from the crowd.
Cooper was a little scared at first but then LOVED to watch them.
Crew was so excited!! I can't think of any other time that I've seen him this excited! He squealed and jumped for so long!

 Watching the show
We met up with some friends and one of Brady's co-workers family were there too!  It was a lot of fun and a great night to celebrate our Independence!

Boys

I love my boys!  They are so active, cute, and fun!  They are growing up so fast.  I wish things would slow down just a little bit!

Cooper was running around with his shift on his head saying "hohoho!"
Reading a few books before bed.  It usually ends up in a battle of who gets to hold and touch the book...and my lap just isn't big enough for the two of them!
